Saving money while traveling to shows

I look for any way to shave some money off our showing expense. I have found traveling to shows can be a huge expense.  We found a solution to our problem.  We partner with another person traveling to the shows.  They haul the horses and we take our travel trailer.  Then we all stay together.  It has worked out perfect. It saves us on a hotel cost as well as eating out.  We can make all our meals right there at the show and we can eat as healthy as we choose.  My daughter also gets great sleep.  When there is down time we can head back to the trailer and just pop in a movie.  It been a wonderful alternative to buying a living quarter trailer and has saved us a bundle.  We also have  tons of fun having others at the show stay with us.  Maddie learns so much just hang out and chatting with others.
How do you save money when traveling to shows?

    One of my facebook readers had some great suggestions:

    "Katie Barrington-Jones I know some trainers charge to haul your horses to shows, so we always trailered our own. (This worked best for us, since my show tack & gear was never unloaded from the trailer tackroom once home). If we only took one horse, we could trailer someone else's too for a small fee, or free. We always brought our own bedding (show grounds charge double!) and hay, premixed grain in ziplocks. I show Arabs, so you can enter all classes and pay when the premiums go out, you don't have to wait until you get to the show. I braided my own horses, and actually charged to braid others for a while."

    When I originally commented I clicked the "Notify me when new comments are added" checkbox and now each
    time a comment is added I get four e-mails with the same comment.
    Is there any way you can remove people from that service?
